The dark nights of autumn and winter are the times when it’s all too easy to stay in and watch the TV. But every Monday, Lliswerry Runners organises a strength & conditioning session for its members. This has been tailored by the wonderful Jacqui, our resident PT Instructor to tone up bits that most runners forget about. Creating core strength, together with improving flexibility and stamina are the aims of this session which lasts just under 1 hour.
Jacqui demonstrates each move showing a number of levels of intensity so that this session suits everyone in the club, even if they’ve never been to this type of class before.
The benefit of strength and conditioning training is often felt in the spring as naturally most members increase their training. It helps avoid injury as well as improving performance.
