Clevedon Salthouse Fields parkrun gets marooned!

Just imagine my surprise. Thinking that Julia & I were the only ones sneaking over the border to Clevedon to get our parkrun fix, we bumped into umpteen others all with the same idea. The wonderful Lliswerry vibe was much needed as the first mini lap around the park was a mud bath. Eventually the route gets onto the promenade, around the swimming lake (with some hard core swimmers) and along the shoreline towards the famous Clevedon Pier. A couple of laps of this & the finish is back in the park with yet more mud.

All in all, the trip was well worth it. After changing in our steamed up car as the rain pelted down outside, we found our way to Tiffins Cafe for an awesome brunch.

The talk was all about which English parkrun would be next on the list for the maroon army. Who knows?

  1. It was a great surprise to see so many people we knew! I’m afraid I was far too wet and cold to hang around for the picture and brunch lol

  2. We really enjoyed this course, and bumping into everyone was a lovely surprise! We are already planning to go back in the summer, so Rory can jump into the lido straight after parkrun!

    1. We’re also planning on going back in the summer. I’m not convinced about jumping into the lido, I think I’d prefer to have an ice cream afterwards.
